WVFF Regular Submission Deadline is FRIDAY.

ey folks, just wanted to remind everyone that the Regular deadline for the West Virginia Filmmakers Festival is August 1. We’ve already received nearly two dozen submissions, so if you’ve been planning on submitting, now is the time.

In addition to mailing your submission in, you can now submit and pay online via WVfilmmakersguild.org .

We are particularly in need of Student Films and Narrative Shorts, as we have received less than 5 of each. Students can currently submit for only $10.00 and Non-Student WVFG members can submit their narrative shorts for only $20.00. Music Videos, Animations and Experimental Films may be submit for only $15.00

Also, if you are an educator, the Student Film Category allows you to submit up to 3 of your students films at no additional charge (with the permission of the filmmakers of course). I know many of you are instructors at film programs throughout the state where you have many MANY talented students.

If you can’t get your film in by Friday, don’t worry, the extended deadline continues through August 15, but I highly recommend you send in your film as soon as possible as the price does go up after Friday, and me and the rest of the Submission committee need time to make it through all of your films.

Good luck to all, and happy filming!
